Great Women of Gaming Conferences

The high-stakes world of gaming is diversifying from the traditional male-dominated industry and CEM is proud to highlight the women taking charge and stepping up to contribute and shape the gaming field. The Great Women of Gaming name goes further than nominating award winners and publishing the results in print. Great Women of Gaming conferences address pressing issues facing women in the industry, while honoring award winners and nominees who have made a positive impact on the industry.

Conferences include a series of seminars, team-building sessions, guest speakers, formal award ceremony banquet and cocktail receptions.

”What we found out last year is it’s not a typical seminar. In some of these sessions, it’s an open forum – very dynamic and interactive,” said Dona Cassese, president of The Marketing Group and Great Women of Gaming event manager. ”This is a special event that was created by female executives, for female executives. The conference was developed based on feedback that CEM received from women in the field, and the event was tailored to address those topics that were important to those executives polled,” she said.

Previous event speakers include: Marilyn Sherman owner of Upfront Presentations; Punam Mathur MGM Mirage Sr. VP of Corporate Diversity and Community Affairs; Judy Patterson American Gaming Association Senior Vice President and Executive Director; E.D. Hill from Fox and Friends, Fox News Channel and author of Going Places; Hilary Kramer AOL finance and money editor; and Lynn “Nay” Valbuena, executive secretary, NIGA, and chair, Tribal Alliance of Sovereign Nations.

Be sure to stay tuned for details on upcoming conferences and the continuing growth of Great Women of Gaming.
