How do I nominate
a Great Woman of Gaming?

To nominate an individual as a 2009 Great Woman of Gaming, you must have worked with her within the gaming industry as a client, vendor or colleague in a corporate, trade association or industry event setting, and she must meet all qualifications of either the Proven Leader or Rising Star category.

Proven Leaders

— Candidate has worked in the gaming industry for a minimum of 10 years and has been in her current position for at least 1 year by the April 19 nomination deadline.
— Candidate currently works for a company in the gaming industry and holds a position of director or higher.
— Candidate demonstrates exceptional achievement in at least 3 of the following areas:

  1. Ability to go above and beyond job responsibilities
  2. Commitment to company and co-workers
  3. Contributions to the industry as a whole
  4. Commitment to mentoring
  5. Strong overall life balance

 

Rising Stars

— Candidate has worked in the gaming industry for a minimum of 3 years and has been in her current position for at least 1 year by the April 19 nomination deadline.
— Candidate currently works for a company in the gaming industry and holds a position of manager or higher.
— Candidate demonstrates exceptional commitment to at least 3 of the following areas:

  1. Ability to go above and beyond job responsibilities
  2. Commitment to company and co-workers
  3. Contributions to the industry as a whole
  4. Commitment to mentoring
  5. Strong overall life balance

If your candidate meets these criteria, submit the following materials to complete the nomination process:

Nomination Form

Complete the Nomination Form (in PDF format) or the Nomination Form (in Word format) in full.

Letters of Recommendation

The Nomination Review Committee requires at least 2 letters of recommendation, with at least 1 from a direct supervisor. Letters of recommendation should address the following 3 areas and include specific examples:

  1. Of these categories, where does the nominee perform best? (Please provide specific examples.)
  1. What is most notable about the nominee?
  2. Why does the nominee deserve this award?

Please submit an electronic copy of all letters of recommendation to events1@aceme.org and/or events2@aceme.org in addition to the hard copy submitted with the other submission materials.

Headshot

A high-resolution (300 dpi or greater) color-headshot in .jpg, .tiff or .eps format of the nominee is required.

Biography

A 300-500 word biography of the nominee is also required.

Additional Information

Attach any press releases, press clippings or additional information you feel may provide further insight into the nominee’s qualifications for this award.

Overnight shipping is recommended. By submitting your nomination for the 2009 Great Women of Gaming Awards, you and your company give CEM the right to republish any printed materials or images submitted in conjunction with this year’s awards, including passages from the letter of recommendations.

Deadline for Nominations

All nominations and letters of recommendation must be received by 5 p.m. CST on Monday, April 19, 2010. Late nominations will NOT be considered unless approved by the publisher, Peter Mead.
