Tracey Chernay, senior vice president of sales and marketing for TransAct Technologies, is responsible for developing and executing TransAct’s global marketing strategies to achieve the company’s business and sales objectives. She is responsible for leading and directing the domestic and international sales and marketing activities for all TransAct printer products worldwide, including the gaming, lottery, kiosk, POS and banking industries.

 

Chernay joined TransAct in May 2005 as senior vice president of marketing, bringing in-depth understanding and extensive experience in global marketing strategies to TransAct as it expanded international initiatives and implemented growth strategies across its entire business. In July 2006 she was named senior vice president of sales and marketing for the point-of-sale and banking business. In May 2007, Chernay was promoted to her current position, centering all product sales and marketing efforts under her direction.

 

Since joining the company, Chernay has been successful in creating greater brand awareness of TransAct products with a strategic branding initiative that included new positioning, logos and the development and launch of TransAct’s new website in August 2006.

 

Prior to joining TransAct, Chernay had a successful 22 year career at Xerox Corporation and was worldwide marketing manager of production color marketing at the time of her departure. She was responsible for developing the marketing strategies and programs growing market share and revenues for Xerox Production Color Solutions on a global basis. Chernay worked with the Xerox Operating Companies to deliver Production Color sales programs, tools, and collaterals enabling their success.

 

Prior to that assignment, Chernay was the manager of sales operations in the greater Pennsylvania/Delaware Valley Sales Operations Unit of Xerox. Responsibilities included leading the sales force of 100-plus employees, driving revenue growth and market share across all product lines, and managing strategic major account activities and relationships.

 

Chernay holds a BS from Palm Beach Atlantic University and an MBA from the nationally ranked Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

 

Chernay and her husband, Gary, reside in Las Vegas, Nevada.
